  • Yes, Yosemite is a family friendly destination. There are many paved paths that are perfect for strollers, bikes and carts. Aswell as your furry four legged friends! Dogs are also welcome in Yosemite on all the paved paths.

  • Yes, Yosemite passes and often reservations are required by NPS. Here is where you can purchase your park pass online:

    You no longer need a reservation to drive into Yosemite in 2024.

    The $35/car park entrance fee still applies when you arrive.

    The NPS will announce details on their plans for managing visitor access in February and summer 2025 by the end of this year.

    Additionally, we strongly recommend that you make reservations for camping, and backpacking.

  • Yes the Sierra Nevada’s are considered to be one of the most dog friendly National parks in America. When you’re up here visiting Yosemite, leashed dogs are allowed on most fully paved roads, sidewalks, parking areas and bicycle paths unless there is a sign that specifically forbids them.

  • Yosemite is beautiful all four seasons of the year. We have most visitors coming from February through to the end of October typically. Fall is very popular as we see the trees change colors and slowly loose their leaves. But winter is amazing full of cooler weather and way less people. Thanksgiving is ideal for a family getaway! And Christmas is perfect for any Californian family looking to celebrate a white snowy Christmas. Our cabin is at 3,500 ft elevation so we do get snow in the winter months, mostly light dustings with a few big snow storms.

  • Day 1:

    Glacier Point: make your way to 3000 ft above the valley floor and take in the beauty of the serene vista across the Yosemite Valley and Yosemite’s massive granite peaks leading up to Yosemite’s high country.

    Day 2

    Explore Bridalveil Falls and swinging bridge, this walk is just under 4 miles from the parking area and trailhead. It offers great views of the Merced river, Sentinel Rock and Yosemite Falls , as well as picnic tables, grills to enjoy lunch.

    Day 3

    Mariposa Grove, witness some of the world’s oldest trees. This is the largest of the three groves in Yosemite and home to several hundred mature Giant Sequoias and miles of great trails to explore!

  • Bass Lake is 19 miles away from Rocky Ridge Road Retreat. Its pristine alpine waters and sandy shores are surrounded by tall cedar trees and pines at an elevation of 3400 ft. Bass Lake is a year round destination and is famous for its awesome water activities, kayaking, paddle boarding, boating, fishing, shopping and lakeside dining.

  • We list nightly rates on a rolling 12 month basis. If you’re planning further out for a group or an event, you can email us to secure dates further than 12 months out

  • Yes we can offer daily housekeeping for a fee of $170 per day. This service will include changing the linens and towels, cleaning the kitchen and bathrooms. Please email us and let us know your needs and requirements.

  • Yes! We have plenty of space to set up your families tent and camp under the stars.

  • Yes, we have several child friendly toys, including a pack and play, toys and several outdoor swings.
